I committed myself to find a way of making my professional principles work as a business by choosing the path of channelled specialisations in body and face skin treatment and hair removal.
Unrealistic – almost GP-like – time frame standards for treatments are more and more common, with no contingency reserve set aside to assume any client specific needs.
Beauty therapy treatment is not a meat processing production line and the beauty salon process needs to be designed not to feel like a drive-through fast food restaurant.
There is acceptance for almost “Ikea” like staff assembly culture, which allows – often enthusiastic or determined individuals, with insufficient training – to play Russian roulette with clients’ service satisfaction and often their safety.
Disinterest in professional self-development and in industry research, finding out about the most efficient technologies and products, or even a disinterest in individual client’s need.
Years since my dream career started and still to this day, I feel personal satisfaction from the results of my work, and as its purpose is – to create a sense of beauty – I dare to claim it to be considered as a form of art.
